Who are we?
- Erasmus on Tour is a student initiative at the University of Hildesheim which takes care of the Erasmus students in Hildesheim.
What do we do?
- We offer you advice and support! As students at the University of Hildesheim, we are familiar with the problems and questions of foreign students in everyday life at a German university.
- We organize excursions and trips in and around Hildesheim thus helping Erasmus students get to know other cities and cultural aspects of Germany.
- We organize intercultural events and promote contact between Erasmus students and German students at the University of Hildesheim. Hildesheim students who are thinking about studying abroad can therefore also meet students from our foreign partner universities.
- We represent the University of Hildesheim and support the work of the International Studies Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt).
Why do we what we do?
- We are interested in foreign countries and cultures.
- We want to meet students from foreign countries and to enlarge our circle of friends to promote educational and cultural understanding.
- We like working as a team and being active in our university and community.
- We want to experience the University from a different angle.
- We want to gain insights into University politics and the work of student initiatives.
- We want to bring the "Erasmus Feeling" back to Germany after a stay abroad.
- We want to show you that Germany is more than beer, lederhosen and the Munich Oktoberfest, and that Northern Germans can be very friendly, too.
